in Competition Team

Team-members-load the busAfter a long 8 hour flight the competition teams arrive in Switzerland to low cloud cover and rain. Not what we were expecting, but we hopped onto the bus and after little over an hour drive we arrived at Stans, Switzerland. Once we arrived most of the day was spent checking in, unloading gear, getting rooms in the barracks and eating some much needed chow.

Our liaison LT Patrick Steinmann of the Swiss Army then showed us around the complex that is temporary  home to some 35 Nations for the SFC- Eric- Heinsheimer-conducts-interviewcompetition. All the Teams are housed in the Swiss Military barracks. It has been interesting to meet the other nations parachute teams. Some  faces were not new to us. Friendships with the other countries still stand strong, and as new Golden Knights meet these old friends, new friendships have already started with other countries.

Its going to be a great week of competition. Tomorrow we conduct a practice jump and then participate in the opening ceremony. Our first meal
