Today was another fast paced day for the Tandem Team. Again our morning started off with rain and low clouds. It soon cleared and jumpers where in the air to do a demonstration jump for the tandem passengers.

Passengers today came from all around the Chicago area. Mayor Mike Belsky

“We Do Care is a unique grassroots, non political and non profit organization that provides tangible opportunities for the Northern Illinois communities to thank and support active duty and veteran military personnel and families. Our Freedom Festival provides the opportunity to support the troops through services of established military service groups.”

We Do Care is a great organization that has hosted the Freedom Festival for the past 7 years. Visit the We Do Care website for more information.

After the Tandems were completed today, it was then off to Bourbannais, IL for the demonstration into the Chicago Bears Training Camp. This is the second year the Tandem Team conducted the jump for the Bears and was invited by co-owner Brian McCaskey. This year in addition to the Team, local Delayed entry Soldiers were on hand to watch the jump and meet the Team.

More tandems on tap for tomorrow. Should be another great day.
