We woke up to a beautiful blue sky here in Bouch, Switzerland. The sun comes up over the moutain top thats right outside our window. It truly is a beautiful place.

Mens 4wayToday the Team was able to make one practice jump for accurracy. As each of the jumpers landed and walked back to our Team tent, the talk was about the views. The drop zone lies in a valley with large lake at the end of the runway. Some of the mountains are snowcapped, but the ones to either side are dotted with homes all the way to the top.  There is a cable car on one mountain that we plan to ride up on our Cultural day.

After a couple hours to pack up and a few meetings, the Team got ready forMarching into parade field the Opening Ceremony. The Opening Ceremony is similiar to the World Olympics. There are 37 nations represented here. Each Team was lined up and then marched into the landing area. The Swiss Army band played their marching music. The band even played the “Eye of the Tiger”.  Much to our surprise the crowd loved it and even could hear some of the countries signing along. After speaches by the Swiss Army and Air Force commanders, the CISM DelegationStanding in formation representative and a few others, the Teams marched off.  After the formal parade was over the Swiss Air Force put on an Airshow, displaying the Pilatus PC-7 acrobatics.

Tomorrow starts off the first full jump day of competition. Everyone is ready to get started and will begin with the Style portion.  Results will be here at the end of the jump day. Wish us luck as we go for the Gold.
