The Gold Demonstration team kicked off the weekend last night in Westfield, Massachusetts by performing a parachute jump into the opening social event for the Westfield International Air Show. The jump was narrated by SGT Reese Pendleton, during which the remaining jumpers put together a mass formation and then all came in and landed right on the target. Once at the social, the Golden Knights stood in respect as past and present war veterans were recognized and honored. After the US Air Force Thunderbirds were introduced, Gold Team leader SFC JD Berentis introduced his team and asked everyone in the audience to take a moment to think of all the Soldiers fighting overseas, whose sacrifices make our freedoms here at home possible. It was a great start to the upcoming air show this weekend.
